Mission
The Mission of the Ministry is "to promote an adequate, safe and well maintained public works and transport infrastructure and services so as to effectively contribute to the socio-economic development of the country".
Vision
The Ministry's Vision is "to have a reliable and safe infrastructure in public works and transport that will deliver timely, quality, cost effective and sustainable services to the people of Uganda"
- Plan, develop and maintain an economic, efficient and effective transport infrastructure;
- Plan, develop and maintain an economic, efficient and effective transport services by road, rail, water, and air;
- Manage public works including Government Structures; and
- Promote standards in the construction industry.
