Roads and Bridges
The Department is headed by the Commissioner Roads and Bridges
The Roads and Bridges Department pledges to do the following;
- Monitor and evaluate performance of agencies authorities, local governments involved in the development and maintenance of road infrastructure
- Formulate policies and guidelines for the development and maintenance of road infrastructure;
- Regulate agencies local government s involved in the development and maintenance of road of
- Upon request, offer technical support and guidance to MDAs
- Upon request, review and approve designs for roads;
- Collaborate with agencies, authorities, local governments involved in the development and maintenance of road infrastructure; and
- Monitor and evaluate surveys, demarcation, and acquisition of land titles, marking and protection of road reserves for transport projects for existing and future Road infrastructures to avoid large amounts of compensation.
